This photo of Michelle Costello, a known gypsy scam artist, was taken by Las Vegas police on the day of her husband's murder.
On Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, cops say Michelle Costello, 43, and her son Peter Costello, 19, were arrested at Resorts Casino in Atlantic City, N.J. and charged in connection with a Las Vegas murder. Las Vegas police found a man brutally murdered in the master bedroom of his apartment and quickly named the man's wife, Michelle Costello, and her teenage son, Peter, as strong persons of interest in the elderly man's death.

Cops believe that Peter Costello is autistic. He loves pizza and may be traveling with his mother, Michelle Costello.
When Michelle Costello called 911 to say her husband was unresponsive, dispatchers had no idea they'd be talking to the woman cops would eventually link directly to his suspicious death.
Bert English, 65, had been married to Costello once before, but the couple eventually divorced and went their separate ways. Their romance rekindled once again in July 2010, when they tied the knot for the second time. But their union would only last two months, as Bert died inside the master bedroom of his apartment on the afternoon of Sept. 20, 2010.
Cops arrived at the scene to find Bert's body but were unable to determine how exactly he passed away. He was in his mid-60s, and cops tell AMW he was in poor health -- he appeared much older than expected for his age.
Still lingering around the apartment complex, however, authorities found Bert's emotionless wife, Michelle, and her teenage son, Peter, who's believed to be autistic.
After a lengthy interview with the pair, detectives allowed the Costellos to leave since they had nothing solid to hold them on -- despite their sneaking suspicions that something was extremely amiss with the situation.
Cops found it extremely odd that a man's family could be so carefree about his death, yet their hands were tied by the restraints of the law.
It wouldn't be until the next day when autopsy results came back -- and investigators learned that Bert had been brutally murdered.
Gypsy Mom, Autistic Son May Be In Greater Philly Area
Not much is known about Michelle and Peter Costello -- though cops have learned that they are heavily entrenched in the gypsy culture. According to police, Michelle is a master scam artist, able to manipulate anyone to get exactly what she wants. Though she has only a few minor misdemeanors on her criminal resume, nothing in her past points to what cops believe she might have actually done to her husband.
Immediately after cops watched the Costellos leave the apartment the day of the murder, they fled the area.
Investigators tracked them to Mesquite, Nev., that very evening, where they are believed to have caught a bus to the East Coast. Tips also poured in, placing the mother and son duo in St. George and Hurricane, Utah, near Zion National Park.
Now, the FBI thinks Michelle and Peter might be hiding out in the greater Philadelphia area, though they might not stay there for long. They have ties to New York, and they have family in California and Hawaii, where Michelle originally hails from.
Wherever they may be, cops say they'll probably be ordering pizza, as they can't seem to get enough of it. Michelle is a heavy drinker and is known to frequent bars with a sailor's tenacity, cops say.
