(CBS/KLAS) Las Vegas - An armed man

reportedly wearing a disguise robbed the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, making off with $35,000 in chips at about 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

The suspect ran from the casino and got away in a cab. He is still at large.

This is the second time in recent months that a man has held up a casino at gunpoint and got away with highly-valued gaming chips, reports CBS affiliate KLAS.

Las Vegas police describe the suspect as a white male in his 40s. He has a mustache and was last seen at the Rio wearing a tan jacket and dark pants. According to Reuters, the mustache may be fake and he was wearing a fedora and sunglasses.

Police say the suspect walked into the Rio and began taking chips off of a gaming table. When the dealer at the table tried to stop him, he pulled out a gun. The man did not fire the weapon and no one was injured, reports the station.

He then grabbed the rest of the chips and walked out the door to a taxi cab. The cab driver says the man did not use his gun or act suspicious in any way. He asked to be taken to the Terrible's Casino at Flamingo Road and Paradise Road, paid his fare and disappeared.

In December, a suspect robbed a craps table at the Bellagio of over $1 million in chips while brandishing a gun and wearing a motorcycle helmet.

The man accused of that robbery, Anthony Carleo, is currently in custody facing armed robbery and other charges.

Caesar's Entertainment, which owns the Rio, has not made any comment about the crime.
