The two were being held at Indio Jail in lieu of bail.
Police were called to the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage Saturday after representatives from Nordstrom Visa notified casino security that fraudulent transactions occurred that morning. Both men were seen on the casino's security cameras withdrawing large amounts of cash, according to the sheriff's department press release.
The men were found at Fantasy Springs casino in Indio attempting to withdraw another cash advance on Saturday around 10 a.m. Investigators believe the men attempted to use the credit cards at two other casinos.
The men used credit cards with their names printed on them and fake account information in the magnetic strip. Police found equipment used to make counterfeit cards and fictitious identification after searching Lopez's house in San Juan Capistrano.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information can call Rancho Mirage Police at 760-836-1600.
