The long Memorial Day weekend is almost here and if you’re struggling with what to do between barbecues, trips to the beach and picnics, there will also be activities at Southern California’s casinos.
With performances, promotions, and sumptuous buffets where barbecue is the star, here’s a list of what’s going on at casinos in Riverside, San Bernardino and Northern San Diego Counties.
Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage

Fans of Armenian pop music can get a dose of it at The Show at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa Rancho Mirage, where the “My Armenia” show featuring Ara Gevorgyan will take place.
Gevorgyan, son of Armenian folk-singer Valya Samvelyan, founded Armenian pop-rock band Rally and has been honored in both Armenia and Russia.
The concert will take place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 25. $50-$150.
Cahuilla Casino

The casino will run a “Fillin’ Up Memorial Day” hot seat promotion where someone will receive $50 in gas every 10 minutes. 11 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday, May 27.
Roadrunners Bar and Grill will have a Memorial Day brunch featuring such items as spiral ham, prime rib, pork tenderloin and an omelet and dessert station. 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, May 27. $19.95, but discounts apply with players card.
Fantasy Springs Resort Casino

The “sexy ambassador of soul,” Maxwell, known for such songs as “Fortunate,” “Lifetime” and “Pretty Wings,” will perform at Fantasy Springs Special Events Center.

If you love rock ‘n’ roll, Fantasy Springs will also host Joan Jett and the Blackhearts with special guest Elle King during the weekend. Jett is known for such songs “Bad Reputation,” “I Hate Myself for Loving You” and “I Love Rock ‘N Roll” while King’s hits include “Ex’s and Oh’s” and “America’s Sweetheart.”

Harrah’s Resort Southern California

Let the rhythm and deep bass of reggae and a poolside setting keep you relaxed on the three-day weekend.
The Green, a reggae band hailing from Hawaii, will play Harrah’s Resort Southern California’s pool area, Dive. The band has supported big name acts, including Bruno Mars, Rebelution and Iration.

Pala Casino, Spa & Resort

The casino will hold a Memorial Day hot seat promotion for Privileges Club members, where someone will be given $100 every five minutes. Guests may win only once, and become eligible by using their Privileges Card at any slot machine, table game or live poker table. 2-7 p.m., Monday, May 27.
Choices the Buffet will offer a special American barbecue menu with pork ribs, pulled pork, barbecue chicken, crab, oysters on the half shell, New York steak and more. 10 a.m.-9 p.m. $30.74, with discounts available to Privileges Club members.
Band the Caper Trio will perform at the casino’s remodeled Center Bar in the evening. 6-11 p.m. Monday, May 27.
Pechanga Resort & Casino

The Pechanga Buffet will have a special Memorial Day menu with such items as french toast, scrambled eggs, prime rib, barbecue bone-in ham, Mongolian beef, spicy Korean noodles, Latin and Italian dishes, cookies, cakes and bananas foster. Special menu runs from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. on both Sunday, May 26, and Monday, May 27. Adults are $35.99 and children 3-11 are $16.99. Children under 3 are free.
San Manuel Casino

The Serrano Buffet will have a barbecue-themed menu with made-to-order omelets, waffles, a sushi station, teppanyaki grill and bottomless mimosas. 4-10 p.m. Monday, May 27. $33. Guests must be at least 21 to enter San Manuel.
