US tribal casino operator Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment has announced Jody Madigan as its new Chief Operating Officer.
Madigan, former General Manager of the Paragon Casino and Resort in Marksville, Louisiana, replaces Ray Pineault in the role after the latter was promoted to President and Chief Executive Officer in May following the departure of Mario Kontomerkos.
“We are pleased to welcome Jody Madigan to our executive leadership team to ensure business strategy alignment and continuity across all of our properties,” said Pineault.
“With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and casino gaming industry, Jody’s leadership and expertise will contribute to MGE’s continued growth and success.”
Madigan’s role will see him tasked with overseeing the development and implementation of strategic competitive positioning plans, ensuring marketing and operational plans drive profitability, and evaluating success in meeting organizational strategies and financial performance targets. He will also lead the general managers of Mohegan’s properties and ensure that all strategic planning is in alignment with the executive leadership group and the Mohegan Tribe, the company said.
Mohegan operates seven casinos across North America and is developing its first Asian integrated resort, Inspire Korea, in Incheon, currently scheduled to open in 2023.
