OAKLAND — Police say public tips helped them break up an illegal casino this past week, with authorities confiscating guns, drugs and more than a dozen gaming machines.
Officers served a search warrant Thursday at a building in the 1400 block of 14th Avenue. One person was arrested.
According to Oakland police, they seized eight guns including two assault rifles, 30 illegal high-capacity magazines, and assorted amounts of drugs including methamphetamine and heroin worth about $76,000. Officers also took $21,000 in cash and 18 gaming machines from the site.

This investigation highlights the success when the community partners with our officers.”
