An Oakdale resident employed by Coushatta Casino Resort was arrested by the Louisiana State Police Indian Gaming Unit on Tuesday and charged with multiple felony and misdemeanor counts of theft.
Keith Welch, 45, is accused of having stolen $2,400 over an 11-day span from Sept.
Welch is employed as a kiosk drop team manager, and his job is to collect tickets inserted into the kiosks from slot machine play and add cash to the kiosk machines.
After hours of surveillance of Welch's transactions at the machines, it was determined he stole approximately $2,400 by taking money from the machines and putting it into his pocket.
Welch was charged with four counts of felony theft and two counts of misdemeanor theft.
