Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa has opened a centrally located casino bar as it continues its major expansion project.

The bar, Crystal Hearts, opened earlier this month and features large, flat-screen TVs above the bar area, bright lighting and ornate glasswork. Much of the bar is white, with dark wood accents.

Some of the bar’s drink specials include the Morongo Limousine Margarita, which comes with Patron tequila, fresh citrus juices and Remy Martin cognac ($12), and the Tokyo Mule with Suntori Toki Japanese whiskey, ginger beer and fresh lime juice ($10.50).

The bar top is embedded with machines to play video poker, video slots and keno and the area immediately surrounding the bar has table games, including pai gow, double-deck blackjack and roulette.

The new bar area, in the middle of the casino, is located not far from the casino’s new restaurants: Mozen, Good Times Cafe and Pink Coffee.

Morongo’s expansion, which is expected to wrap up in mid-2020, has not only involved making over the restaurants on the casino level but also adding 65,000 square feet to the casino’s footprint and 800 more slot machines. There will also be a free valet parking structure for 750 vehicles.
