A $10 million expansion is underway at an Oneida Indian Nation casino in Madison County.
The expansion for Yellow Brick Road Casino in Chittenango will include a new entertainment wing that’s scheduled to open in early February, the casino announced Wednesday.
The construction marks the third phase of renovations for Yellow Brick Road, one of three casinos owned by the tribe in central New York. Turning Stone in Verona is the tribe's flagship casino, and it also owns Point Place in Bridgeport, Madison County.
The new amenities at Yellow Brick include a six-lane luxury Brunswick Bowling Center and two Topgolf Swing Suite bays.
The section will also have a full-service bar with dining, television screens and sports betting stations. The Oneida Nation said a Burgers of Madison County is already open at Yellow Brick Road Casino.
In addition, the expansion calls for an exterior redesign that the Oneida Nation said will combine “the aesthetics of Central New York’s industrial history with a modern 21st century look.”
“With the latest renovations to our gaming floor, the addition of The Lounge with Caesars Sports and this next phase of expansions, YBR will be completely transformed into a multi-entertainment venue unlike anything else in the area,” Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Oneida Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter said in a statement.
“This new phase of renovations at YBR is geared to exceed guest expectations, and is a reflection of the Oneida Indian Nation’s ongoing commitment to reinvesting in Central New York. By expanding our offerings, we will be creating new jobs and helping to revitalize the region as a premier tourist destination.”
Yellow Brick Road Casino opened in June 2015 in the Chittenango Plaza, 800 W. Genesee St.
The expansion plans come just weeks after the Oneida Nation announced Lynn Segars as the casino’s new general manager.
It is among the latest casino expansion projects for the Oneida Nation, which unveiled new sports betting amenities earlier this year at several casinos, including Turning Stone Resort Casino at Yellow Brick Road in partnership with Caesars Entertainment.
