On Monday, the Missouri Gaming Commission gave Cape Girardeau citizens the opportunity to discuss both sides of the issue. The Yes For Gaming Committee is looking to build on the momentum at this kick-off event and begin gathering as many people as possible to speak loud and clear to the Missouri Gaming Commission showing Cape Girardeau's support for this project, the release said.
The rally will begin at 3:30 p.m. at the site of the old shoe factory downtown (Main Street at Mason) featuring comments from local supporters and community leaders. The committee will also unveil the campaign's official logo, website, and Facebook page all designed to help inform residents about the project and organize support for a decisive win in the November election.
