Elsinore’s Atlantis Casino Hotel, owned by Playboy Enterprises opens April 14, 1981 at a cost of $130 million. The Playboy Hotel and Casino was Atlantic City’s seventh casino hotel. It’s 50,601 square feet of gaming space was divided among three floors. In April 1984, Elsinore buys out Playboy’s interest in the casino for $52.9 million.
