FORT HALL, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK) - UPDATE: The Bannock County Sheriff's Office confirms the suspect wanted in connection with an armed robbery at the Sage Hill Casino early Sunday morning has been arrested.
Idaho State Police along with the Bannock County Sheriff's Office and Fort Hall Police stopped the wanted suspect on Interstate 15 north of milepost 74. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
His name has not been released.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Fort Hall Police Department and FBI are investigating an armed robbery of the Sage Hill Casino early Sunday.
According to a tribe press release, a man with a skull tattoo on his hand walked in, displayed a shotgun and demanded cash be put into a bag. The robber away with a large amount of cash.
The man left the casino in a newer model dark-colored GMC Sierra Z71. It is believed to be lifted and have aftermarket rims.
The suspect is described to be a white male, approximately 6 feet tall with a large build and weighing 230-250 pounds.
He was wearing a red “Philly” baseball hat, black shirt with a black jacket; light blue jeans with tan boots. The suspect concealed his identity with a dark-colored bandanna. A tattoo of a human skull was on the back of his right hand.
