Del Lago Resort & Casino reported its best week in two months and the second-best weekly financial performance since the facility opened Feb. 1.Â
The casino's pre-tax revenue was $3,415,157 for the week of April 17-23, according to a report filed with the state Gaming Commission. It was the second-highest gross gaming revenue total for a week since Feb. 20-26, when del Lago reported more than $3.7 million.Â
Del Lago's report also reveals reduced numbers of slot machines and table games at the casino. When the casino opened in February, there were 2,001 slot machines and 77 table games. The table game total excluded 12 tables in the poker room.Â
Now, the casino says it has 1,976 slot machines and 63 table games.Â
Even with slightly fewer games on the casino floor, del Lago reported increased activity. The amount of credits played at slot machines was $32,642,920 — the highest total since the casino's opening week. From slots alone, the casino's gross gaming revenue was $2,393,794. The average daily payout was $173.Â
At the casino's table games, the drop — the total paid by players for chips — was $4,239,872. Gross gaming revenue was $971,311.
The 12 poker tables had $50,052 in pre-tax revenue.Â
While the casino had a big week, construction crews continue work on the resort's 205-room hotel. The hotel, which is slated to open this summer, is already accepting reservations.Â
