If you're itching to audition for Wheel of Fortune, now's your chance: the Wheelmobile has arrived at Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City!
Viewers interested in being a contestant on an upcoming episode are invited to attend the event this Saturday and Sunday (July 16th & 17th) at the casino.
Fans will have the opportunity to fill out an application, and have his or her name drawn at random to play a simulated version of the game onstage, win unique prizes and be evaluated as a potential contestant for the show.
What is the Wheelmobile?
It's a 39 feet long, 13 feet high, bright yellow RV that tours the nation in search of contestants for Wheel of Fortune.
What to expect:
Thousands of fans fill out applications and gather in front of a stage with a traveling version of the famous wheel and puzzle board. Applications are drawn at random throughout the event, calling individuals on stage in groups of five to participate in a brief interview, play a version of the Wheel of Fortune speed-up round and win special show-themed prizes.
Will I get on the show?
The most promising candidates from Wheelmobile events are invited back to participate in final auditions for the show.
At the final auditions, contestant coordinators select the individuals who will appear on the show.
Last year, over a million people requested the chance to audition for Wheel of Fortune. Fewer than 600 people were selected to appear on the show. For this reason, Wheel of Fortune strongly discourages people from incurring any expenses in order to try out for the show.
When and where:
The Wheelmobile event is being held at Chinook Winds Casino Resort at 1777 Northwest 44th Street in Lincoln City, Oregon from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday July 16 and Sunday July 17.
You must be at least 18 years of age to be a contestant on Wheel of Fortune and to attend Chinnook Winds Casino.
