Metro Police have arrested a man and woman who allegedly robbed and attacked a man as he entered his vehicle in the Orleans Hotel & Casino parking lot Monday morning, officials said.
Jose Roman Herrera-Herrera, 31, and Gloria Deleon-Serrano, 34, were charged with attempted murder, robbery with a deadly weapon, conspiracy robbery, burglary with a deadly weapon and grand larceny, police said.
Police said the suspects planned their actions and attacked the victim from behind as he was preparing a bank deposit delivery just before 9 a.m. Monday. The victim, however, managed to keep hold of the money bag, police said.
The man was stabbed several times but is in stable condition at University Medical Center, police said.
Police found one of the suspects in the area a short time later, and a follow-up investigation led to the second arrest, officials said.
