A patron has been charged after a disturbance at a western Pennsylvania casino in which a state trooper's leg was broken.
Thirty-nine-year-old Shawn Lamonde, of South Fayette Township, faces a preliminary hearing March 11 on charges of aggravated and simple assault, resisting arrest and harassment.
Troopers were summoned for a report of an unruly customer at a bar at the Meadows Racetrack & Casino about 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
That's where police say Lamonde fought with 21-year veteran Trooper James Amitrone and another trooper trying to arrest Lamonde. Amitrone was treated at Canonsburg Hospital and released.
Casino officials referred comment to the state police, who didn't release additional details.
Online court records don't list an attorney for Lamonde, who posted $25,000 bond Sunday. He doesn't have a listed phone.
