PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A suspect is on the loose after a deadly shooting at a valley casino on Christmas Eve, and on Saturday police released a photo of the suspect.
On Saturday, Gila River Police named 47-year-old John Albert Campos Jr as the suspect in this case.
The shooting happened just after 9 p.m. at the Wild Horse Pass casino near I-10. The Gila River Police Department told Fox 10 that the suspect, left the casino, but stopped and walked back into the casino.
The suspect approached a car in the parking lot and opened fire on 52-year-old Frank Pascua.
Pascua, a retired Bakersfield, California police officer, was taken to a local hospital where he later died.Â
A previous suspect who was held in this case has been cleared. Police have now directed their attention to Camps Jr., who is a relative of that previous suspect.
Gila River Police say their investigation will continue.
