MOUNT POCONO, Pa. --
State police say a woman hit the jackpot - in both senses of the word - at an eastern Pennsylvania casino. They've cited 34-year-old Daniel Hoagland for criminal trespass for winning $3,041 at Mount Airy Casino early Monday.
Hoagland had to forfeit the winnings because she had previously placed herself on the state's five-year self-exclusion list. The list, often used by problem gamblers, makes it illegal for someone to win money or receive any complimentary gifts on the casino floor of any licensed casino in the state.
The lists are voluntary and a person can only place themselves on the list.
State police didn't say what game Hoagland was playing when she won.
Forfeited winnings go into the state's Compulsive and Problem Gambling Treatment fund.
Hoagland's phone was repeatedly busy Thursday.
