HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) - A group of Western Massachusetts casino supporters were out trying to gain enthusiasm.
Paper City Development is the group hoping to develop a resort gaming facility at the Wyckoff Country Club.
One of the people heading this event was former Holyoke Mayor Marty Dunn, who 15 years ago was on the other side of this issue opposing a casino.

Supporters went to the rally to pick up bumper stickers for their cars and they agree with Dunn saying the jobs are much needed.
Henry Ingersoll lives in Holyoke and said he would hope to benefit from a casino, “Well I might look for a part time job in a casino because I think everyone needs a part time job to survive these days.”
Holyoke isn't the only contender for a casino Palmer has high hopes to get the casino in Western Mass.
Paper City Development argues that Wyckoff Country Club in Holyoke is a better location for the casino because of it's proximity to the Mass Pike and I-91.
The casino bill has not been passed yet and some don't think it should, especially here in the Western part of the state.
Scott Cornelius from Northampton said, “I think we should focus on things that are more about the community and culture and this beautiful area, and I think a casino would be antithetical to that.”
The rally took place at JP’s restaurant in Holyoke.
