CLEVELAND (AP) - The Christmas season in downtown Cleveland will have a retro look.
On Saturday, the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland that opened in May as Ohio's first casino will unveil holiday decorations inspired over the years by its home, the old Higbee's department store.
An original 24-foot artificial tree has been refurbished as the centerpiece of the casino decorations. 9,000 new lights were installed on the tree.
Inside the casino, there will be eight custom-built archways inspired by Higbee's. But because of casino rules, only people 21 and over will get to see the interior decorations.
The lighting of the tree and outside decorations will be part of Cleveland's traditional Thanksgiving weekend holiday festival on Public Square.
