Hundreds of people turned out in Sioux Falls for the first job fair held by officials with the Grand Falls Casino Resort being built just across the South Dakota border in northwest Iowa.
The line of applicants Sunday was so long that officials decided to open the doors 20 minutes early, KELO-TV reported.

The $120 million resort near Larchwood, Iowa, will employ more than 700 people when it opens later this spring. The complex will include the casino, an events center and a 100-room hotel. An 18-hole golf course is scheduled to open in 2013.
The company expects to fill more than 500 of the jobs through the job fairs. They continue Tuesday in Larchwood, Wednesday in Rock Rapids, Iowa, Thursday in Luverne, Minn., Friday in Brandon, S.D., and wrap up Saturday back in Sioux Falls.
Haselhoff said a variety of positions are up for grabs.
"It really is a resort, so you have the hotel, the resort club, food and beverage, finance ... maintenance, so something for everyone," he said.
Kiel Dailey hopes to land one of the jobs, and showed up nearly an hour early Sunday to stand in line.
"I think I have a fairly good shot. Everybody has a good chance at it, so we'll see what happens,"Â Dailey said.
