"I've done some security work in the past, so that's kind of what I'm interested in right now," Dailey said.
The casino is being built just across the border from Sioux Falls near Larchwood, Iowa. The company is hiring 700 people, and by the
"I thought coming here 45 minutes early was a good idea, and it was, but I pry could have come 1 hour 45 minutes early. That pry would have been a little bit better," Dailey said.
In fact, the line of applicants was so long they opened the door 20 minutes early.
"It's a good sign," Sharon Haselhoff, the general manager of Grand Falls, said.
"There's a variety of positions. It really is a resort, so you have the hotel, the resort club, food and beverage, finance, HR, maintenance, so something for everyone," Haselhoff said.
That something is the opportunity Dailey has his eyes on.
"I think I have a fairly good shot. Everybody has a good chance at it, so we'll see what happens,"Â Dailey said.
Whether Dailey gets the job this new business will likely lure workers from across the region and across the state line.
