Ali Eslami of Van Nuys, Calif. leads the $10,000 buy-in World Poker Tour® (WPT) No Limit Hold’em Main Event at Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg with a chip count of 147,000 after Day 1.

Just behind with 141,000 chips is Richard Pflum of Connersville, Ind. There are currently 57 players in the field, but numbers are expected to climb as players

still have until 1 p.m. Sunday to buy-in and several top pros are flying in to begin play on Day 2.

Banzer

Entertaining the players and fans observing the action and assisting with television commentary are the World Poker Tour’s Royal Flush Girls, including Michelle Banzer of Louisville, Miss Kentucky USA 2007.

The final table of the Main Event begins at 4 p.m. on Wednesday. Anyone interested in being part of the Fox Sports Net national television audience should arrive by 3 p.m. Seating is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
