As for the show itself, star of MTV’s Jersey Shore, DJ Pauly D, opened Spears’ act, airing a montage of Spears’ best moments on a big screen for the crowd of fans that was said to be over 1,000. Spears was then introduced by the reality star, where she was shown sporting a sequined bodysuit. She first performed “Hold it Against Me” while male dancers danced next to her.
The second song she sang was “Big Fat Bass,” which was the very first time she sang it live. will.i.am help produced the song along with the Spears. Finally, she sang “Til the World Ends”. The show was taped by MTV to air next week to coincide with her new album “Femme Fatale,” which will be released on March 29th.
George Maloof, who owns the Palms said the following about Spears’ performance: “We are extremely excited to have one of the most iconic artists of all time back at the Palms. Britney’s performances were unbelievable and her fans will never forget the night. We have a great relationship with MTV and feel fortunate to be a part of her upcoming special.”
