A 30-year-old Igo felon was arrested Thursday near Win-River Casino after allegedly leading deputies on a foot and car chase.
At 9:18 p.m., deputies tried to pull over Jeremiah Michael Roden's silver minivan on Highway 273 near Clear Creek Road.
Roden wouldn't stop, sped up and turned into the Win River Casino, Shasta County Sheriff's Sgt. Michael Peery said this morning.
After crashing the van into a six-foot tall chain-link fence, Roden took off on foot, running north. At one point, he crossed Clear Creek, Peery said.
Roden hid from deputies in heavy brush on the north side of the creek, Peery said.
A California Highway Patrol helicopter and Redding and Anderson police were called to help find him.
Peery said that when Roden was arrested, deputies found two full .380 caliber magazines and a pistol holster on him. They didn't find a gun.
Peery said deputies continue to look for the pistol.
Roden, who was on probation, was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest, being a felon in possession of ammunition and failing to yield during a traffic stop, Peery said.
