MINNEAPOLIS - Talk about bringing a high-end casino into Block-E in downtown Minneapolis is generating some buzz -- even attracting the attention of Gov. Mark Dayton.

The developers who bought the struggling entertainment block would need legislative approval in order to bring a bit of Las Vegas to Minneapolis, but they might not have to gamble on the governor’s support.

“My

evaluation is based entirely on job development -- but even more importantly, the revenues that would be gained for the school kids in Minnesota,” said Dayton. “That's the only interest I have in expanding gaming is to bring more revenue to the state that would be directed to education.”

FOX 9 News Reporter Bill Keller spent the day in downtown Minneapolis to see what people and local business owners think on the project. Watch the video for more information.
