The U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs has rejected a plan for a Wisconsin Indian tribe to build a casino in the Catskills. The project was projected to bring nearly $1 billion a year in activity to the economically depressed Catskills. Do you think the federal
government should have let this project go forward? Do you think it’s time for the state Legislature to finally give in and present a constitutional amendment to legalize casinos in New York? Or should the government continue to make it difficult to expand casino gambling in the state?
