Aretha Franklin, 68, sounds like she's bursting with energy.
The Queen of Soul told AP today she's back at "150%." She plans to give her first post-surgery concert at the Seneca Niagara Casino in Niagra Falls, N.Y., on May 28. It's the same month that Wal-Mart Stores Inc. will release her album Aretha: A Woman Falling Out of Love.
Franklin had surgery in December for an undisclosed ailment. Since then, she has revamped her diet, reports AP, including giving up her beloved chitterlings, pigs' feet and ham hocks in favor of a Whole Foods-type diet. She's lost weight and hopes to get down to a size 16.
