Louisiana casinos won $204 million from gamblers in December, up 6.2 percent or $12 million from the $192 million haul of December 2009, State Police reported today.

The state's only landbased casino, Harrah's New Orleans, won $32 million in December, up 16 percent or $4.4 million from the previous month and $1.2 million from December 2009.
Louisiana's four racetrack casinos, which includes Slots at the Fair Grounds in New Orleans, won $31 million from players, a 9 percent increase from a month ago and a nearly 3.6 percent improvement from the last month of 2009.
