Norwegian Cruise Lines is one of the most respected cruise lines in the world, and that was the draw for producers of the show Undercover Boss. The show centers around business owners and CEO's disguised as ordinary people, carrying out tasks of their employees.
The latest episode had Norwegian CEO Kevin Sheehan disguised as an unemployed cabbie
While many areas of cruising were covered on the Undercover Boss episode, casino gambling was left off the show. The dealers and casino managers were able to steer clear of the CEO. The areas where Sheehan did work, however, helped him gauge interest in different activities.
The ice skating rink, for instance, was constructed and caused Sheehan to hurt his back. When finally complete, there was nobody on the cruise that enjoyed the activity. The lack of interest caused Sheehan to later decide that ice skating would no longer be offered.
One of the employees on the episode recognized the CEO, and instead of playing coy, Sheehan came clean and asked the employee to help him dupe the other workers. In the end, all of the employees that helped Sheehan with his adopted tasks were rewarded either financially or with job promotions.
Casino gambling is a big part of why vacationers decide to take cruises. There are cruise ships that go out of all major ports in the US, and the most popular of which run to the Caribbean, out of Florida. While on board, gamblers are free to play a wide variety of games that can be found in the casino.
