Officers and police dogs reportedly carried out a search of the surrounding area and launched Strike Force Linford to investigate the circumstances surrounding the boy’s death with the help of the NSW Crime Command’s Homicide Squad was also involved.

Investigations led to the arrest of an 18-year-old man at a Casino home around 10:40am Sunday, whereupon he was taken to Casino Police Station, charged with murder, refused bail and kept in police custody awaiting court today.

Police on Sunday said a crime scene was still in place at the accused man’s home as investigations continued.
