Hanover man charged in Connecticut casino brawl - The Patriot Ledger

A Hanover man has been charged with biting another gambler on the nose during a dustup over slot machines.

Thomas C. McDonald, 51, of 65 Beckford Farm Road, Hanover, was at the MGM Grand at Foxwoods casino in Connecticut when the fight occurred, on Saturday. The altercation began when he took over one of two slot machines that John I. Whittaker, 50, of Manchester, Conn., was

using, according to the casino unit of the Connecticut State Police.

Whittaker allegedly head-butted McDonald, and McDonald retaliated by biting Whittaker’s face, police said.

Both men were arrested. Whittaker was charged with second-degree breach of peace, McDonald with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace.

McDonald was released after posting $500 bail, police said. He could not be reached for comment at his home in Hanover on Sunday.
