WICHITA, Kan. (AP) - Gambling consultants have determined that a casino in Mulvane would bring in significantly more revenues than one proposed for Wellington.

The panel says the proposal by Peninsula Gaming to operate a casino in Sumner County has more amenities than a

plan submitted by Global Gaming Solutions.

Both applicants to build a state-owned casino south of Wichita have paid a $25 million "privilege fee" to keep their applications current.

The Wichita Eagle reports consultants preferred Peninsula's plan for an equestrian/events center over Global's plans for an auto racetrack.

They also said both locations would suffer if a tribal casino is built in Park City.

The Lottery Gaming Facility Review Board will meet with consultants on Wednesday and is expected to pick the winning proposal at a meeting Dec. 15 in Topeka.
