Last week, we gave you an update on bingo and when that might return to Southern California’s casinos.

This week, we know more about what the classic Casino Morongo did with its shuttered bingo space and the answer, for now, is to use the space for additional slots and table games.

The space was supposed to be Casino Morongo’s new non-smoking room with 100 slots and eight blackjack games, but casino officials later decided to make the entire casino non-smoking (there are designated areas outside).

That doesn’t necessarily mean bingo is gone for good, though. Read on to see what the casino has to say.

There’s been lots of casino news this week.

Las Vegas’ iconic Stardust, which lit up the strip from 1985 to 2006, is back from the dead, but not in the way you might think. Boyd Gaming Corp., which owns the brand name, is using it for an online gaming app, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Eldorado Resorts, Inc., has finished its $17.3 billion acquisition of of Caesar’s Entertainment Corp. and will take the Caesar’s name going forward. That makes it the largest casino owner in the world. Harrah’s Resort Southern California in Valley Center is a Caesar’s property. The Associated Press has more.
