We’ve crossed the threshold where there are more casinos open than are not.

This week we saw two big casinos — Pechanga Resort Casino near Temecula and Fantasy Springs Resort Casino near Indio — open their doors. Like the casinos in the weeks before them, neither resort opened fully and both had a lot of safety precautions in place.

And then we saw many casinos reopen in Las Vegas today. Some opened as early as 12:01 a.m.

However, there are still some tribally-owned casinos in Southern California that have yet to open their doors. We talked to lone Coachella Valley holdout Augustine Casino about what they’re doing and when they might reopen.

But before we get into all of that, here are our poll results. Of the nearly 400 people who voted, it looks like most have not been back to the casinos yet.

While Fantasy Springs, Spotlight 29 and the Agua Caliente casinos have reopened, Augustine Casino is one of the few casinos still closed.
