STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.-- Two suspects wearing surgical masks made off with an estimated $250,000 from Aqueduct Racetrack in Queens in an armed robbery late Saturday night, according to a New York Post report.

Reports initially indicated the heist took place at the adjacent Resorts World Casino.

The incident occurred at about 10 p.m., hours after the last race.

The suspects were being sought Sunday morning, as officers were seen searching trash bins at the racetrack entrance with flashlights, apparently looking for clues, according to the report.
