The Missouri Gaming Commission has met behind closed doors to examine the finances of the three remaining competitors for the state's final casino license.

The commission's next regular meeting takes place Dec. 1. But it's unclear whether the panel will decide then whether to approve any of the casino projects.
Still in the running are proposals for casinos that would be located in Cape Girardeau, St. Louis or the Kansas City suburb of Sugar Creek.
A 2008 ballot measure approved by voters limited Missouri to 13 casino licenses. One is available because of this summer's closing of the President Casino in St. Louis.
