Dear John: I have been a faithful reader of The New York Post for several years. I hope that you can help me with a problem that I have where I strongly feel that I was treated unfairly and unjustly.

I am a retired civil service worker, having worked for New York City for over 40 years. I have always had a perfect record and impeccable character. I am also a decorated, 30 percent disabled Vietnam veteran.

In my spare time I enjoy going to various casinos, especially Empire City, which is located in Yonkers. In November of 2018, I was banned from Empire City for apparently abusing casino privileges — specifically, using a friend’s rewards card.

I was never advised of the reason for my suspension. Despite writing several letters to the casino, I have not received any reply or even an explanation.

I explained to security that I was very sorry if in any way I abused casino regulations. I further advised them that if reinstated, I would strictly adhere to casino protocol.

I also advised them that there was never any sign posted or otherwise that what I did was not permitted.

In addition, it is quite common for patrons to use friends’ and relatives’ casino cards.

I would appreciate your assistance in this matter. Anything you can do to get my re-instatement at Empire City would be appreciated. A.A.

Dear A.A.: It’s my pleasure to help a veteran, especially one who was injured in the line of duty.

I called Empire City and you’ve been reinstated. Go and gamble away all your hard-earned money.

You asked that I not print this letter. That’s not the way this works. But I did change your initials so nobody knows you committed the high crime and misdemeanor of claiming rewards that didn’t belong to you.

Don’t do it again! Also, remember to wipe off your feet while entering the casino, don’t card count and make sure you don’t win too much. Enjoy!
