San Manuel Casino has opened a new parking garage as part of a multi-phase expansion project, according to posts on the casino’s social media accounts.

The six-story garage has 2,200 parking spots, 30 car charging stations and four elevators. It’s one of multiple projects the Highland casino has mapped out as part of a $550 million expansion project that will ultimately culminate in the completion of a hotel, entertainment center and new shops and restaurants.

The casino’s General Manager, Peter Arceo, told Southern California News Group in an interview earlier this year that the casino is eyeing second quarter of 2021 as a completion date for the 450-room hotel, 3,000-seat event center and additional shops and restaurants.

San Manuel is one of a few Southern California casinos in the midst of expanding.

Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa is undergoing an expansion that has resulted in new restaurants on the casino level and which will also include the expansion of its gaming floor and a new valet parking garage.

In Anza, Cahuilla Casino is replacing its tent-like structure, which has been in place for 23 years, with a new casino and hotel building.
