When I attended Hong Kong-based pop star George Lam’s concert at Pechanga Resort Casino on a recent Saturday, I only knew a handful of songs he performed ( “Rock Around the Clock” among them) and while I didn’t know what he was joking about that caused the audience at Pechanga Summit to erupt in laughter, it was a fun experience.

Millions of grasshoppers invading Las Vegas sounds like the plot for a scary B-movie from the ’50s, but it’s actually a real life scenario in Sin City right now. Hoards of the winged insects are traveling across the city — including the very busy Las Vegas strip — and may stay there for several weeks. Luckily, they don’t bite and they don’t carry diseases, according to experts. Tourists visiting the strip have also come away with some pretty cool videos of the bug swarms.
