When Encore Boston Harbor opened its doors at the end of June, it marked the sixth casino within about an hour drive for some residents in Massachusetts.
Not all six offer the same experience. Encore Boston Harbor hopes to lure high-end luxury seeking patrons. Plainridge in Plainville offers digital tables and slot machines. Foxwoods, Mohegan Sun and MGM offer experiences beyond gambling with restaurants and big-name shows.
