Pala Casino, Spa & Resort has canceled the remaining events in its “Summer Days – Fun in the Sun Pool Party” series for this year, a resort official confirmed.

Coley McAvoy, advertising manager for the resort, confirmed in an email that the series had been put on hold and the remaining dates canceled as “we evaluate alternative programming that best utilizes the beauty of our pool area and provides unique guest experiences.”

The pool parties happened from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. at least one Sunday a month at Pala’s Tourmaline Pools. A $40 ticket gave guests full day pool access, two appetizer tickets, a drink ticket and $20 of free play within the casino. Some of the events Pala put on as part of the series were a Cinco de Mayo party, an ’80s party and a “Havana Nights” party.

Now-canceled events include a “Caribbean Days” pool party on July 14, a ’90s pool party on July 28, and a “Polynesian Days” pool party on Sept. 22.
