Police search for man who tried to rob Rivers Casino with 'give me all the money' note

Police are searching for a suspect who they say attempted an armed robbery at Rivers Casino but left without getting any cash.

The Illinois State Police said the suspect handed a note to a cashier at the Des Plaines casino that read, “Give me all the money” but was unsuccessful in the robbery attempt and left. The incident happened about 6:45 a.m. Nov. 22, police said in a news release issued Wednesday.

Police released surveillance photos of a man wearing a gray hooded parka and black cap, with his hands in his pockets, standing at a cashier’s window. In two photos he appears to be smiling. It’s not clear if the man was armed.

Anyone with information is asked to call state police at 855-494-0237 and can be anonymous.
