A Michigan high school teacher pocketed more than $30,000 in student activity funds and then squandered it all in a Detroit casino, a report said.

Lydia Christine Johnson, 29, was charged with embezzlement Thursday for lifting $19,000 in funds for the Dakota High School’s homecoming dance and another $12,500 for a school trip, according to The Detroit News.

Johnson then allegedly went to the MGM Grand Detroit casino where records show that she threw away more than $90,000 on penny slots in 2016.

The casino receipts were even discovered along with empty cash envelopes for the school’s homecoming dance, Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith said.

“This teacher held a position of trust within the high school,” Smith said in a statement. “She repaid that trust by feeding student funds into a slot machine.”

Johnson’s bond was set at $10,000. She is due back in court on Oct. 5.

If convicted, the teacher faces up to 10 years in prison.
