Casino Killer Arrested In Las Vegas During Weekend Of Violence Following the recent shooting of a 30-year-old man in a bathroom of the Opera House Casino in North Las Vegas, a 21-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with his

murder.

The incident took place at 11:30 p.m. on Friday when the unnamed victim fell prey to Henderson resident Stefon Clark, 21, who had been attempting to rob him. For reasons unknown at this time, Clark then allegedly shot the man several times and was subsequently detained by casino security officials until police officers arrived shortly thereafter.

The victim was then rushed to the University Medical Center’s trauma unit but his injuries were too severe and unfortunately he was pronounced dead at about 2:30, Saturday morning.

In the meantime, Stefon Clark was arrested and taken to the North Las Vegas Detention Center where he was charged with robbery and murder with a deadly weapon.

The latest incident marked a weekend of violence for North Las Vegas, which saw three separate murders occur within a 24 hour period.

As well as the casino murder, a maintenance worker was shot outside a house at 3600 block of Iverson Lane at 9 p.m. on Friday night. Darren Rael was there to help work on the resident’s car when the attempted robbery ended in tragedy. Darren Rael leaves behind a 14-year-old son.

Also, according to reports about ten people were involved in a fight on Saturday afternoon at Putnam Avenue, near Civic Center, when one person pulled out a gun and shot the 18-year-old victim. He was found lying on the street by officers and was later pronounced dead at the University Medical Center.

There have now been 13 murders in North Las Vegas already this year.
