Broketober: Cain Velasquez robs Dana White of his Casino Chips - Lowkick

UFC 121 promised one of the greatest Heavyweight fights in the history of Mixed Martial Arts, and it truly delivered. Velasquez ended the UFC's Cult of Personality for Brock Lesnar in an impressive fashion, catapulting himself to the pole position of the Heavyweight rankings. Brocktober is over. The King is dethroned. And the UFC President Dana White is now surely upset with

the turn of events at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Cain Velasquez did to the UFC what Fabricio Werdum did to Strikeforce. Brock Lesnar, by far the biggest draw in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, was exposed as a one-dimensional fighter who can't take a punch. Something UFC tried so hard to make us believe he's not. Cain Velasquez finished what Shane Carwin started at UFC 116, making the UFC President Dana White visibly upset at the post-fight press conference.

I wonder how Dana White would react to someone saying Brock Lesnar is a "mythological creature, invented by the media". Even the post-fight confrontation with The Undertaker metaphorically brought Lesnar back to his WWE dimension.

White labeled UFC 116 as his best moment as a promoter. And surely it was. Brock Lesnar proved himself as a good gamble back in July, defeating Carwin just one week after Fedor Emelianenko lost to Fabricio Werdum. But for someone who spends most of his free time in the Las Vegas Casinos, Dana White should've known that luck is not one of the most loyal ladies out there.

Make no mistake; Brock Lesnar is still one of the best Heavyweights in MMA. He's a freak of nature, and watching him compete is a joy for any MMA fan out there. Personally, I hope he returns as quickly as possible, just like he did after a defeat against Frank Mir back at UFC 81. Concentrated on his learning process, Brock Lesnar is a serious threat to any Heavyweight out there.

UFC will now work hard to bring Cain Velasquez to Mexico, a very big ambition that will take a lot of time to turn into a reality. But there's one thing I truly believe in: Cain Velasquez is here to stay. I can't see how Junior Dos Santos has any chance against him, especially after an unconvincing performance against Roy Nelson.

This way or another, Cain Velasquez's victory is a new fresh start for the UFC. It's a new gamble. Will it pay bigger dividends than Lesnar's fights against Mir, Herring, Couture and Shane Carwin? Only time will tell.
