PERRYVILLE, Md. (AP) - Maryland's first casino brought in more than $2 million in revenue during the four days it was open in September.

The casino opened on Sept. 27, three days earlier than scheduled. It has 1,500 slot machines.
Lottery officials say the casino averaged nearly $346 per day per machine in gross gaming revenue, while a Department of Legislative Services study predicted revenue of $210 per machine per day. The Maryland Lottery regulates the state's slots program.
Of that revenue, more than $1 million will go to fund education, while the casino operator, Penn National Gaming Inc., gets $685,000.
