Delay sought in North County casino application - KMOX.com

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – One of the groups competing for Missouri’s last available casino license told the Gaming Commission that it will need more time to come up with financing or it may have to withdraw it’s application.

North County Development has proposed a 150-million dollar casino development in North St. Louis County.

The group was

to make a presentation before the gaming commission Wednesday but said in a letter to the commission that the short time frame wont allow that presentation.

The letter indicates that in this down economy, moving at  “break neck speed” necessary to comply with the gaming commission’s time constraints is virtually impossible based on the size and scope of the project.

The gaming commission would only say that North County Development would not be making a pitch Wednesday.
