Two local leaders are trying to avoid being caught in the middle of the casino revenue dispute between the Seneca's and the State. Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster is patiently waiting for casino payments generated from the Seneca Niagara Casino. But he does not want to get stuck in the middle of this dispute. The city of Niagara Falls is not immediately impacted from the withholding of casino
payments. Dyster said they have remained conservative in spending casino revenues. State Assembly woman Francine Delmonte said the governor is following the law of the casino compact. She is monitoring closely, but said it's important for all sides to get along.
Both Delmonte and Dyster have offered any assistance they can in reaching a compromise between the two sides.
The Seneca's have failed to pay out more than $105 million from 2009 and more than $108 million for this year.
