LAS VEGAS — Officials say a 41-year-old casino executive had been drinking excessive amounts of alcohol and rubbing alcohol when she fell and hit her head in a luxury residential high-rise off the Las Vegas Strip.

The Clark County coroner's office says Sharla Perry died after the accident in February as a result of "acute ethanol and isopropanol

intoxication."

KLAS-TV reported Friday that the coroner's office also discovered Perry had a history of ethanol abuse.

Perry was director of VIP services for the Wynn Las Vegas resort.

She was discovered at the Turnberry Towers, several hours after security officers made "verbal contact" with someone in the apartment.
